Quikr, one of India’s leading online and mobile classifieds website wishes to offer payment services on its platform. Currently it is in talks with MobiKwik, Paytm, and even Citrus for the same.
Meanwhile, yet another classifieds website, OLX is in discussion with MobiKwik for past one year in order to earn from the transactions conducted through their channel. Currently, OLX offers payment options to customers who have a premium listing.
Witnessing stiff competition from automobile and house portals such as CommonFloor.com, Housing.com, CarTrade.com and others, along with other mobile and classifieds website, it becomes imperative to look out for avenues to fill up their kitty. By offering payment options, Quikr will be in a position to offer nearly a complete set of service offerings to their customers.
Quikr is looking forward to conduct digital transactions whose value is less than Rs. 20,000 involving products such as furniture, microwave, phones and more especially since the number of these transactions is quite considerable.
Quikr’s business analytics reveal that it receives nearly 80% of its traffic from the mobile interface while nearly 1.5 million deals are conducted on a monthly basis. Hence, the move to adopt a new interface is indeed the logical step forward.
